Mumbai University admissions 2025: The University of Mumbai will announce its much-anticipated first merit list for first-year undergraduate degree admissions today, May 27, at 5 PM.

The list marks the beginning of admissions for the academic year 2025–26 across over 850 affiliated colleges, autonomous institutions, and university departments.The online admission process, which commenced on May 8, has already seen a massive turnout. As per official data, 2,53,370 students have registered through the university’s centralised portal, submitting an overwhelming 8,11,643 applications for various undergraduate courses—reflecting a sharp rise in competition and demand for sought-after programmes.

Mumbai University first merit list 2025: Steps to access

Candidates can follow the steps mentioned here to access the Mumbai University merit list from the official website:

  • Visit the official website: Go to the Mumbai University portal: https://mu.ac.in
  • Select the admission link: On the homepage, look for the section titled “Admissions 2025–26” or a dedicated banner for “First Year Degree College Merit List.” Click on it.
  • Choose your college: A list of all affiliated colleges will appear. Select the name of the college you applied to.
  • Access the merit list: Click on the link for the First Merit List (2025) under your selected college. The list will open in PDF format.
