Uttar Pradesh School Holidays 2024: The Uttar Pradesh Directorate of Education has released the schedule of holidays for the upcoming year. In a significant move, the government has granted female staff the privilege of taking two additional leaves for fasting and festivities, excluding Kawa Chauth, with approval from the school principal.

Last year, there were no leaves allocated for various festivals such as Sankata Chaturthi, Hal Shashthi/Lalai Chhath, Haritalika Teej/Hariyali Teej, Jiutiya Vrat/Ahoi Ashtami, prompting a surge in demand among teachers and staff.

Consequently, the education department had to issue separate circulars to announce holidays. For the upcoming year, the department has proactively specified leaves for these festivals.

Furthermore, in 2024, schools in Uttar Pradesh will observe a 41-day summer break from May 21 to June 30, 2024. The total number of holidays, including summer vacations and Sundays, will be 118. Secondary schools will be open for 233 days, with board exams scheduled to take place over a 15-day period.

Specifically, there will be 2 holidays for Holi and 3 for Diwali. On the birthdays of renowned individuals, students in schools will learn about their contributions in a creative manner.
