Vicky called Kat for pep talk before every shot

treated his fans with the much-awaited trailer of '

Sam Bahadur

'. At the trailer launch of the film, the actor was asked how he dealt with challenges of getting into the skin of the character while shooting and his reply left everyone in splits.
Replying to the same, Vicky said that before every shot, he used to call his beautiful wife Katrina Kaif.

She would then give him a pep talk and then he would give the shot. Everybody burst into laughter listening to his answer.

Clearing that he was just joking, Vicky went on to answer the question as to what were the challenges that he faced during the prep, he said that wearing the uniform on the set made him realise that you cannot take the role less seriously. You have to carry it with utmost sincerity and honesty. That, according to him, was the most challenging part. Vicky added that even after you have learnt all the mannerisms of the character, you have this feeling of responsibility that you have to give it your all.

Elaborating further, Vicky said that it happened during his film, 'Uri: The Surgical Strike' also. According to him, the ultimate validation comes when the Army people approve the film and his performance. He added that he is waiting to see their reaction to 'Sam Bahadur' as well. According to him, they have given it their all.

Vicky will be seen playing the role of Field Marshal
