Vidaamuyarchi sets new premiere day record

is off to a record-breaking start in North America, setting the stage for the biggest premiere of his career. With just a day left before its grand debut, the film has already crossed the $300,000 mark in advance sales, solidifying its place as his highest-grossing premiere in the region.

As per the latest update, Vidaamuyarchi has amassed $205,842 in the USA alone from 235 locations, 553 shows, and over 9,000 tickets sold. When combined with Canadian pre-sales, the total North American advance booking now stands at $300,000 (Rs 2.60 crore). This milestone has already shattered Ajith’s previous best, Valimai, which earned approximately $140,000 on its premiere day in the USA.
With strong pre-release momentum and an increasing demand for tickets, industry analysts predict that Vidaamuyarchi will comfortably surpass $400,000 in premiere day collections across North America.The response to the film has also been great in India with the film already minting nearly Rs 8 crore in advance booking for Day 1.

The action thriller, starring Ajith Kumar alongside Trisha Krishnan, Arjun Sarja, Regina Cassandra, and Arav, is helmed by Magizh Thirumeni. The film is said to be based on Jonathan Mostow’s novel Breakdown.
Adding to the excitement, this marks Ajith Kumar’s first release since being honored with the Padma Bhushan. Despite being involved in a car accident during the film’s shoot, anticipation for the movie remains sky-high.
If pre-sales continue at this pace and the film garners positive word of mouth, Vidaamuyarchi is poised to become Ajith Kumar’s highest-grossing film in North America.
