It was a short delivery, rising steeply off the pitch. Kohli went for the pull but only managed a top edge. With no fielder at mid-wicket, Omarzai sprinted after the ball, collided slightly with the non-striker but managed to recover, accelerate, and dive full stretch to complete a brilliant two-handed catch.Kohli, visibly disappointed, walked back with his head down, knowing he had missed an opportunity to anchor a bigger knock on the big stage.Kohli was trolled after getting out.

Earlier, Punjab Kings skipper Shreyas Iyer won the toss and elected to field. Both sides went into the final unchanged from their previous matches. With RCB and PBKS both eyeing their maiden IPL title, the 18th edition of the league is guaranteed a brand-new champion.
