Wankhede to host India-Australia women's Test

MUMBAI: The

Wankhede Stadium

is set to host a women's Test between India and Australia in December this year.
The Indian women's team last played a Test-their maiden pink ball Test-in 2021 against Australia at Gold Coast, while the last women's Test on Indian soil was the India-South Africa game in 2013. The match ended in a draw.
The BCCI has postponed the Indian women's team's home season of international games due to the 2023 men's ODI World Cup. The team still does not have a head coach.
Apart from Australia, England and New Zealand too are supposed to tour India this home season.
