Was Donald Trump 'rushed' through the oath giving him no time to keep his hands on the Bibles?

Donald Trump's oath already started by the time Melania Trump brought the two Bibles on which he was supposed to keep his hand during the swearing in.

As Donald Trump was seen skipping the hand-on-the-Bible part during his oath ceremony Monday with his critics calling it a bad omen for the new administration, Republicans said the oath was rushed and

Chief Justice John Roberts

is to be blamed for this.
"Please raise your right hand and repeat after me," John Roberts said when Melania Trump was bringing the two Bibles that Trump was supposed to keep his hand on. When Melania reached Trump with two Bibles, Donald Trump's right hand was already up in the air. "I Donald J Trump do solemnly swear..." the oath had already begun by that time. Barron Trump and other children were seen joining their father on the stage while Trump already started his oath statement.
“Chief Justice Roberts has a history of f**king up the administering of the presidential oath. He rushed it today and they didn’t even have the Bible or the family in place. In Obama’s first inauguration, he mumbled through parts of it, and they actually had to redo it in the Oval Office a few hours later to make sure it took,” one wrote on X.
"They didnt allow his family to get in place before the swearing in. He didn't even get a chance to place his hand on the bibles," another wrote.

"President Donald Trump did NOT put his hand on the Bible while being sworn in, s**ts about to get very unholy," one wrote slamming Trump for skipping the tradition.

"Donald Trump didn't put his hand on the Bible when he was swearing the oath of office to defend the Constitution. Because he's a corrupt piece of trash. What say you, MAGA Christians?" another wrote.
Donald Trump was supposed to have his hand on two Bibles -- one the Lincoln Bible which was first used in 1861 to swear in the 16th US president and the second one was supposed to be the one given to Trump by his mother in 1955 to mark his Sunday Church Primary School graduation at First Presbyterian Church.
