The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board (WBJEEB) has officially announced that the model answer key for the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination (WBJEE) 2025 will be released on May 9, 2025. Candidates who appeared for the examination can access and download the WBJEE 2025 answer key from the board’s official website, wbjeeb.nic.in.

Aspirants will also have the opportunity to evaluate their probable scores and raise objections to any discrepancies in the answer key until May 11, 2025.

WBJEE 2025: Answer key

According to the latest official notice issued by WBJEEB, the model answer key will be published in accordance with Section 11.0 (a, b, c) of the WBJEE 2025 Information Bulletin. Candidates will need to log into their respective accounts on the official website to view and download the model answer key. The WBJEE 2025 was held on April 26 in two sessions, Paper 1 for Mathematics and Paper 2 for Physics and Chemistry, with a combined total of 200 marks.

Calculating probable scores using the answer key

The answer key allows candidates to estimate their scores by following the prescribed marking scheme. In WBJEE 2025, Category-1 questions carry one mark each, while questions under Category-2 and Category-3 are worth two marks each. The exam also includes a negative marking system: a deduction of 0.25 marks for every incorrect response in Category-1, and 0.5 marks for incorrect answers in Category-2.

No negative marking is applicable for questions in Category-3.
