According to reports, Deepika didn’t plan to invite Katrina to her wedding. On Neha Dhupia’s show, during a fun segment, when asked if she’d invite Katrina, Deepika quickly replied, “No.”

However, later, in an interview with Pinkvilla, Katrina Kaif revealed that she was indeed invited to Deepika and Ranveer's wedding reception. She shared that her heart told her to attend, and she had no second thoughts. Katrina described the evening as warm and joyful, saying they danced, ate, and celebrated together till early morning.
The Jagga Jasoos' actress further shared that she now tries to keep things positive with her colleagues in the film industry. She said if someone reaches out, she’s open to meeting them halfway. Reflecting on personal growth, she added that it's no longer about past differences but about moving forward. She also mentioned having a good time recently with Priyanka Chopra at an event, highlighting how they shared a warm bond despite the past, like Katrina stepping in for Priyanka in Bharat after the latter exited the film.

Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone began dating after working together in Bachna Ae Haseeno. However, during the making of Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani, rumours sparked about Ranbir getting close to Katrina Kaif. Eventually, Deepika and Ranbir broke up on a bitter note. Ranbir later dated Katrina but confirmed their breakup in 2016.
