When Gauri opened up about Aryan's arrest in alleged drug case

After years away from the spotlight, Gauri Khan returned to Koffee with Karan for a rare and revealing conversation. Appearing alongside her close friends Maheep Kapoor and Bhavana Pandey in Season 7’s 12th episode, Gauri opened up about life beyond the limelight—sharing insights into her work as a designer, her role as Shah Rukh Khan’s partner, and most notably, how the family coped with the turbulent period surrounding son Aryan Khan’s arrest.During the episode, before Maheep and Bhavana joined her on the couch, Gauri sat down for a one-on-one with Karan. The conversation touched on various facets of her life — from being a successful entrepreneur to navigating the spotlight as Shah Rukh Khan's wife. Karan also brought up a difficult chapter from the previous year: the arrest of their son Aryan in the high-profile drugs-on-cruise case. Aryan was taken into custody by Mumbai Police under suspicion of possessing narcotics on a cruise ship.

He spent several weeks in jail before being granted bail, with the case eventually seeing no substantial evidence against him.KJo addressed the difficult time the Khan family went through during Aryan Khan’s arrest. He asked Gauri how she handled the situation, praising her strength and resilience. He acknowledged the emotional toll it took on the family and said he had seen her come out stronger, calling it a tough phase both personally and professionally for Shah Rukh and the family.

Gauri responded by acknowledging the hardship, saying, “Yes, as a family, we've been through… I think nothing can be worse than what we've just been through, obviously, as a mother, as a parent.” She added that despite the tough time, the family is now in a much better space. “We feel loved by everyone—our friends and even people we didn’t know. There were so many messages and so much love. I just feel blessed and grateful to all the people who helped us through this.

”Aryan is the eldest of Shah Rukh and Gauri Khan’s three children. The couple also has a daughter, Suhana Khan, and a younger son, AbRam Khan. While Aryan will debut as a filmmaker soon, Suhana made her acting debut with Zoya Akhtar’s The Archies. She will soon be seen in SRK starrer 'King'.
