When Jaya cried seeing Big B-Rekha's romance

Back in 1978, the actress during her conversation with Stardust magazine spoke about how Amitabh Bachchan’s wife

was hurt when she saw her and Amitabh's intimate scenes in

Muqqadar Ka Sikandar

. She mentioned that once she was in the projection room for the screening of the film and the entire Bachchan family had come to wait it. She added that while Jaya was sitting in the front row, Amitabh and his entire family were in the second row and during her and Amitabh’s love scenes, she could see tears pouring down Jaya’s face.

Rekha added that a few weeks later, rumours began doing the rounds in the industry that Amitabh has made it clear that he will not be working with her in movies again and his decision has been made available to all the producers. It was being said that Amitabh and Rekha’s alleged relationship has led to discord between Jaya and Amitabh.
The next time Amitabh and Rekha worked together was for Yash Chopra’s Silsila which was three years after Muqqadar Ka Sikandar. Rekha’s last release was Indra Kumar’s Super Nani which was released in 2014.
