After ruling the marquee for many years, Madhuri Dixit, tied the knot with US based surgeon Dr Shriram Madhav Nene in 1999, and moved to the US to raise a family with him, giving birth to two sons, Arin and Ryan. The couple decided to move back to India when their kids were all grown up, with both diversifying into film production.

Talking about her life in the US, Madhuri had once spoken up on the show Kiska Brand Bajega.

There, she said, “For me, that was one of the dreams I had for myself. I’m going to have kids and that’s going to be fun.”
Earlier, talking about her homemaker life in US, Madhuri had said on the Simi Garewal show, “I used to make breakfast for my husband when he was in cardiovascular surgery. I used to wake up at 5:30, make breakfast for him, of course, he used to leave for work and I used to go back to sleep for some time. I savoured every minute of it.”

Madhuri Dixit recently marked four decades in the entertainment industry on August 10, reflecting on her enduring connections with Rajshri Productions and director Sooraj Barjatya during a fan meet in the USA, organized by Shreya Gupta and Atique Sheikh.
Madhuri Dixit began her illustrious career with Rajshri Productions’ 'Abodh', and her most celebrated hit, 'Hum Aapke Hain Koun..!', was also produced by them. Recalling her early days, Madhuri shared her experiences meeting Sooraj Barjatya after 'Abodh'. She mentioned, "Rajshri Productions introduced me to the world of cinema. My first film,

Abodh

, was with them, and back then, Sooraj Barjatya was an assistant director who handled scene continuity. When Sooraj ji approached me with the script for

Hum Aapke Hain Koun

..!, I was astonished by how much he had evolved. By then, he had already directed 'Maine Pyar Kiya'."

Aunty?! Madhuri Dixit's hilarious reaction to a fan has everyone talking!

Madhuri continued, "When he narrated the story, I was in awe. I thought, 'Oh my god, Sooraj ji, you wrote this?' The way he narrated it, and the way the film turned out, was truly remarkable."
She excitedly spoke about Hum Aapke Hain Koun..!, saying, "Even today, people say they can watch it anytime. It’s constantly available on various

OTT platforms

or TV channels. The film, which delves into relationships, family, and culture, captured people's imaginations and remains beloved."

Released in August 1994, 'Hum Aapke Hain Koun..!', starring Madhuri Dixit and Salman Khan, became the highest-grossing film of the year, showcasing Indian wedding traditions and

family dynamics

through its narrative.
