Neena Gupta is known to have made some strong choices in her life. She has single handedly raised her daughter Masaba Gupta and battled several existing stereotypes in the society. Even now, the actress is quite honest about her life and struggles, thus setting an inspiration for many. Neena was a single mother when daughter Masaba was born and she had once revealed how she was staying in her aunt's house. However, once she was kicked out by her in the middle of the night and had nowhere to go with little Masaba in her hand.
The actress had told Housing.com that she sold her 3BHK apartment and moved in with her aunt. Neena said, "I shifted to my aunt’s house, where I had stayed before. I thought I stayed there so much of the time, and I just came back to my house to sleep. Since Masaba was little then, my aunt used to help look after my baby. But one day, she threw me out in the middle of the night. She kicked me out. I had no money left. There was this one night where I had nowhere to go with a baby.”
However, that's when Neena's uncle felt sorry for her and gave her another apartment in Juhu which was closed for so many years. Neena had to clean it in the middle of the night with the baby with her. "Before shifting with them, I had already told both of them that I am now going to be without a house, so are you okay with me moving in? They said yes then. Now, my uncle felt very bad so he shifted me to his mother-in-law's house in Juhu, which had been shut for 20 years. There were cobwebs in the house, it looked rusty. I went there, and I cleaned that house with a small baby. But soon, I was asked to leave that house as well," she said.
Earlier, Neena had revealed that while she was struggling to get work as an actor, she was working as a cook at Prithvi Cafe.
