World Cup 2023: 'Take a bow', Netizens congratulate Virat Kohli on hitting record-equalling century

Virat Kohli continued his excellent form in the 2023 Cricket World Cup with an unbeaten century against South Africa in Kolkata on Sunday.

With the century, Kohli equalled Sachin Tendulkar’s feat of 49 ODI centuries.

Kohli walked into bat at number three following the dismissal of Rohit Sharma in the sixth over, and although his partnership with Shubman Gill was short-lived, Kohli would go onto forge a 134-run stand with Shreyas Iyer for the third wicket.

Kohli’s century, coupled with Shreyas Iyer’s fifty helped India post 326/5 safter opting to bat first against the Proteas.

The cricketing fraternity were overjoyed with Virat Kohli’s achievement and social media was flooded with congratulatory wishes for Kohli, who turned 35 on Sunday.
