Virat Kohli made a new record for India on Sunday, but it didn’t come from his bat. In the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup match against Australia, Kohli took the catch of Mitchell Marsh at the slip to help India and Jasprit Bumrah take their first wicket in the match.

With Marsh’s catch, Kohli earned the record of taking most catches for India in ODI World Cups as an outfield player. Kohli has now taken 15 catches in 28 ODI World Cup matches. He was levelled on 14 catches with Anil Kumble going into the World Cup.
