They need a heater in winters

Bettas are tropical fish and they need warm, stable water temperatures to stay healthy. Their ideal range is between 24°C to 28°C. And so, when the temperatures dip in winters they require a heater in their tank to maintain suitable temperature.

Water quality is important

Bettas require a clean, well-maintained water to live a healthy and long life. Use a water conditioner to remove chlorine and perform partial water changes weekly.

Not all Bettas like tankmates

Bettas are known for their territorial and aggressive nature, especially males. And so, if you plan to add them in a community tank, make you the tank is big enough, has ample hiding space, and the other fishes have a peaceful temperament and are of a similar size.

They need a good diet
