On October 9, an
FIR
was filed at the Juhu police station against a
user in the name of Dr
Nimo Yadav
whose twitter handle is @NiravModi, for spreading fake news about Ashoke Pandit. This user often has some really nasty things to say about many celebrities. But recently, his tweet left filmmaker

's friends and family worried. He had spread false news about his health while Pandit was quite healthy. At that point itself, director
Hansal Mehta
had replied to his tweet and said, "You might have your disagreements with him. Ignore him. But stop this fucking rumour mongering. Reporting you for fake news.Ashok Pandit is hale and hearty. To spread such nastiness about anybody’s health even if it is your worst foe is vile."
Now an FIR has been filed against him at the Juhu Police station. Pandit made an appeal to the CM Eknath Shinder, and Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis against this user and the Police Commissioner to file an FIR against him. His tweet created a huge panic amongst his family members and friends. Yadav also created a fake account in the Brahmin Ashoke and tweeted a response to his fake tweet.
Film bodies like I.M.P.P.A (Indian Motion Pictures Producers Association), IFTDA (Indian Films & Tel Directors Association) , F.W.I.C.E (Federation of Western India Cine Association ) condemned this illegal act of Yadav. Ashoke Pandit and Film bodies thank Mumbai Police for their prompt reaction.
Reacting to this incident, Pandit says, "This person should be identified and arrested for creating panic by spreading rumours from his twitter account and creating a fake account of mine. I thank Mumbai police for their immediate action against the said person by filing and FIR against him."
