GAME OVER! It's official! India have beaten Japan with a 5-1 margin in the men's hockey tournament final to win gold medal in Hangzhou. This is India's 22nd gold this edition of the Asian Games, and 95th medal overall. Harmanpreet Singh leads from the front with two strikes to help India triumph.
The gold medal also means that India men's hockey team have secured a quota to the 2024 Paris Olympics

Japan have hit one back! It's npt over until it's over. Less than 10 minutes to go in the men's hockey final, and Japan have made it 1-4 against Harmanpreet's India. India will look to do everything to maintain this.
Asian Games Day 13 LIVE Updates: India will look to inch close to the 100-medal target on Friday with medals at stake in hockey and bridge. Indian players will also look to reach the gold medal matches in events like badminton and cricket. So far India have won 86 medals including 21 Gold. This is India’s best-ever performance at an Asian Games. Their previous best of 70 medals had come in 2018 in the Jakarta Palembang Games in Indonesia. On Friday, India won five medals to take their tally to 86.
India face defending champions Japan in the men’s hockey gold medal match. The Men in Blue take on Bangladesh in the men’s cricket semi-finals. The women’s and men’s kabaddi teams also feature in their respective semi-finals on Friday.
In archery, the women’s and men’s recurve teams will be taking part in the quarter-finals and later in the semi-finals if they progress.
