Rajukummar Rao, who is known for his versatility, and Wamiqa Gabbi, who has slowly and steadily carved a niche for herself in different languages, joined hands for the first time in the movie ‘Bhool Chuk Maaf.’
The film that sees the protagonist most stuck in a time loop made it to the theatres on May 23, after several setbacks and controversies around its initial release.
However, once released, the movie has shown good potential. After five days of release, ‘Bhool Chuk Maaf’, despite the weekend drop, is inching towards Rs. 40 crore mark.

Directed by Karan Sharma, the movie opened on Friday with Rs 7 crore. According to Sacnilk, the debut weekend brought in good numbers, with the film witnessing a rise of around 35 percent on Saturday, and making Rs.
9.5 crore, followed by a collection of Rs 11.5 crore on Sunday. However, with weekdays came the dip. On day 4, which was its first Monday, the movie collected only Rs 4.5 cr and saw a drop of more than 60 percent. Nevertheless, the early estimates show that the film maintained a steady pace on Tuesday, minting the same collection as the previous day (Rs. 4.5 cr). ‘Bhool Chuk Maaf’, after a successful five-day run at the theatres, stands at Rs.
37 cr.
‘Bhool Chuk Maaf’
The movie revolves around Ranjan, played by Rajkummar Rao, a young man who falls in love with a girl from Banaras, Titli, essayed by Wamiqa Gabbi. In order to marry her, he works hard to secure a government position; however, he violates a promise made to Lord Shiva and quickly finds himself trapped by destiny until he can make amends for his error.
