Celebs attend grand screening of Kesari Chapter 2

Just a day ahead of its theatrical release,

Kesari Chapter 2

received a glittering welcome with a star-studded screening in Mumbai. The film, featuring Akshay Kumar,

R Madhavan

and Ananya Panday in pivotal roles, is set to hit the big screen on April 18.
Leading man Akshay Kumar arrived hand-in-hand with wife Twinkle Khanna, and the couple happily posed for photographers. Co-stars R Madhavan and Ananya Panday turned heads with their fashion-forward avatars, adding a touch of glamour to the event.
The red carpet saw a host of Bollywood celebrities in attendance, including Suhana Khan, Ibrahim Ali Khan, Rasha Thadani, Kajol, Harshvardhan Rane, Boman Irani with wife Zenobia Irani, Shreya Chaudhry, Ritwik Bhowmik, Paresh Pahuja, Tridha Choudhury, Warda Nadiadwala, Jibraan Khan, Chunky Pandey, Manish Malhotra, Bhumi Pednekar, Seema Sajdeh, Maheep Kapoor, Bhavana Pandey, Farah Khan, Sharvari Wagh, Urmila Matondkar and Dino Morea among many others.

Chapter 2 delves into the turbulent aftermath of the Jallianwala Bagh massacre. The narrative revolves around a high-stakes courtroom battle, with Akshay Kumar portraying iconic lawyer C Sankaran Nair and R Madhavan as Neville McKinley, a staunch defender of the British Crown.

The film follows the success of its 2019 predecessor, Kesari, which depicted the legendary Battle of Saragarhi, where 21 Sikh soldiers fought valiantly against thousands of Afghan invaders. That film starred Akshay Kumar and Parineeti Chopra and was widely lauded for its portrayal of bravery and sacrifice.

With Kesari Chapter 2, the filmmakers aim to honour India's freedom fighters, shedding light on the relentless pursuit of justice and the undying spirit of resistance against colonial rule.
