At the Mumbai Indians (MI) vs Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) match in Mumbai on Monday, Ananya wowed the audience with her electrifying opening performance. Among her biggest cheerleaders was her father, Chunky Panday, who took to social media to celebrate her moment.
Sharing the video which was a compilation of all the moments, he wrote, “Proud of you @ananyapanday." As soon as the post was shared, actresses Karisma Kapoor, Urmila Matondkar and many others also reacted. One of the fans wrote, “Ananya's performance was electric loved it." Another wrote, “Ananya is sooo beautiful."

The 'Dream Girl 2' actress took to Instagram to share a throwback then-vs-now IPL moment. The old picture, from 2012, shows a teenage Ananya wearing a KKR jersey and glasses, long before her Bollywood debut. Alongside it, she posted a recent picture of herself performing live at the MI vs KKR match in Mumbai. She also revealed what has remained the same over the years.

Panday’s old photo also includes Shah Rukh Khan, Shanaya Kapoor, Suhana Khan, Hrithik Roshan, and her father Chunky, all part of KKR’s journey. During her performance at Wankhede, The diva wowed the crowd with her dance moves, performing her hit songs. As a big KKR fan, she regularly supports the team with her close friends, Shanaya and Suhana. Her then-and-now photos marked a special moment for her at the match.
On work front
Ananya Panday was last seen in the Netflix movie 'CTRL', directed by Vikramaditya Motwane. She is now making her return to the big screen with 'Kesari Chapter 2', alongside R Madhavan and Akshay Kumar. Directed by Karan Tyagi, the film, based on the Jallianwala Bagh massacre, will see Ananya playing the role of lawyer Dilreet Kaur. 'Kesari Chapter 2' is set to release on April 18.
According to Pinkvilla, the reports also suggest that Ananya will begin shooting for the sequel of her hit web series 'Call Me Bae' on Amazon Prime, although neither the actress nor the production company have made an official announcement.
