Darshan discharged without surgery, heads to court for bail

Kannada actor Darshan Thoogudeepa

has recently been discharged from the hospital after being granted

interim bail

on medical grounds. Reports indicate that Darshan left the hospital without undergoing any surgery, which had originally been planned due to a back injury.
As per a report by Bangalore Times, the "Challenging Star", came out of the hospital without undergoing any surgery. Darshan, along with his co-accused, including alleged lover Pavithra Gowda, was awarded bail by the

Karnataka High Court

on December 13, 2024. The court's decision followed careful consideration of arguments from both sides. Darshan had previously received interim bail for six weeks to seek medical treatment for his back pain, but the anticipated surgery was postponed due to high blood pressure.
Upon his discharge, Darshan went directly to the City Civil Court to complete the necessary legal formalities required for his bail. He signed documents and fulfilled the conditions set by the court before returning home. Reports suggest that he was under considerable pressure regarding his health and legal situation but chose to prioritize completing his bail requirements.
The actor has been in police custody since June 11th, 2024, after he was linked to the

Renukaswamy murder case

. He is accused of killing Renukaswamy after the victim allegedly sent derogatory messages to Pavithra Gowda who is allegedly Darshan's girlfriend. The messages sent by the victim suggested that Pawithra was tempering with Darshan's marriage. This seems to not sit well with the actor and he is said to have orchestrated the murder.
Darshan, Pawithra and 15 others were arrested and have been facing legal battles since.
