Kamal Haasan's much-anticipated action drama 'Thug Life,' directed by the legendary Mani Ratnam, will be releasing in theaters on June 5, 2025. The film, a stylish gangster saga, also is the reunion of Haasan and Ratnam.

Netflix has acquired the digital rights and will stream 'Thug Life' in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi after its theatrical run. However, due to North Indian multiplex regulations, Hindi-language films must observe an eight-week exclusivity window in theatres before moving to OTT platforms.
This means the Hindi version of Thug Life won’t be available on the OTT giant until at least August 2025.

Thug Life is coming to Netflix in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi after its theatrical release!"Storyline of the filmThe story revolves around Rangaraaya Sakthivel played by Kamal Haasan, a ruthless gang leader, and his brother Manickam.
During a violent clash, Sakthivel rescues a young boy named Amaran and raises him as his own. However, after an assassination attempt on Sakthivel, suspicion falls on Amaran, leading to a tense narrative filled with vendetta and shifting loyalties.The film also features Silambarasan, Trisha Krishnan, Abhirami, and Aishwarya Lekshmi.It received a UA 16+ certificate from the Central Board of Film Certification, with a runtime of approximately 2 hours and 45 minutes.
