Is Kanye West back in the ‘Billionaire's Club,’ for real? Here’s what we know

The net worth of stars has always remained an area of interest for their fans. Thus, whenever a report about a celebrity’s net worth starts doing the round, it garners traction in a jiffy. Music icon Kanye West is experiencing something similar, as he has asserted that his current net worth exceeds a whopping $2.77 billion. However, his claim has a counter from another source, that claims he stands at nothing more than $400 million.
Here’s how everything unfolded…
On January 23, 2025, i.e. Thursday, Kanye shared a screenshot on her social media handle that stated his new valuation, which came from Eton Venture Services. The report stated his empire was built on his musical legacy and the full ownership of his Yeezy brand.
“In 2025, Ye’s net worth stands at $2.77 billion USD as confirmed by Eton Venture Services," read the post. “The valuation is based on his music portfolio and his sole ownership of the Yeezy mark," it continued.

However, it is worth noting that the claim has yet to be fully confirmed by an independent source. Nevertheless, Billboard reported that Ye’s confidence seems unshaken.

Sharing this new claim, he used his iconic anthem, “Can’t Tell Me Nothing," from his 2007 Graduation album and wrote. “LAA LA LA LA," in the caption to express his contentment. Fans and friends joined in the celebration soon, leaving heartfelt messages in the comment section.
Meanwhile, on the other hand, on Friday (January 24), Forbes reportedly mentioned that Kanye West’s net worth as of now is only $400 million. Interestingly, in 2022, it was Forbes, which had identified him as a billionaire. However, a series of controversies throughout that year, including antisemitic comments, resulted in significant backlash. Major brands distanced themselves from him, which led to a substantial decline in his estimated net worth, as reported by Forbes.
Initially, when Forbes listed him as a billionaire, Ye contended that their figures were inaccurate, claiming his actual worth was around $7 billion. After his fallout with Adidas and other companies later in the year, Forbes adjusted their estimate, drastically reducing his net worth to only $400 million—a significant drop from the $7 billion he had previously asserted.
