Siddhu Jonnalagadda's latest action-drama ‘Jack’ is showing a steady but modest trend at the box office, clocking in a total of Rs 4.43 crore after its first three days. Released on Thursday, the film started off with a decent opening but saw a significant dip in collections over the weekend.
Opening Day Holds Strong, But Momentum Slows
On Day 1, Jack managed to collect Rs 2.5 crore (rough estimate) across India, largely due to the buzz around Siddhu Jonnalagadda’s rising popularity. However, the numbers saw a notable dip on Day 2, bringing in only Rs 1.01 crore. The trend continued on Day 3 (Saturday), with early estimates suggesting a collection of Rs 92 lakhs, reflecting a drop of over 60% from opening day figures.
Regional Response and Occupancy Rates
The film registered an overall 16.10% Telugu occupancy on Saturday, April 12, 2025, with Hyderabad leading in viewership. Morning shows across the state had a 13.86% turnout, with night shows faring slightly better at 16.75%. Hyderabad stood at 16.50% overall occupancy with 417 shows, while cities like Chennai surprisingly performed better in select time slots, registering a 29% overall occupancy from just 16 shows.
Despite the buzz around its lead pair Siddhu Jonnalagadda and Vaishnavi Chaitanya, along with a strong supporting performance by Prakash Raj, Jack seems to be struggling to sustain audience momentum after its initial draw.
Here’s our review
We gave the movie a rating of 2.5 stars out of 5 and our review reads, “Visually, the film tries to punch above its weight. There are a few well-executed action sequences, but they're also interspersed with some poorly choreographed ones. The film also suffers from continuity issues, with scenes that jump abruptly or feel loosely stitched together. Despite these shortcomings, Jack manages to entertain in parts, largely due to Siddhu’s lively screen presence and a few cleverly written moments.”
