Karan announces 'Dhadak 2' trailer release and poster

Siddhant Chaturvedi and Triptii Dimri are getting ready for their upcoming film 'Dhadak 2'. Fans are excited, and now the makers have announced that the trailer will be released on Friday, July 11.Today, Karan Johar took to his Instagram handle to announce the same.

“Do . Ek dhadak. #Dhadak2 trailer out this Friday." In the poster, Siddhant and Triptii are seen in a romantic pose, holding each other close and sharing an emotional moment, “When surrender means death…fight!" the text on the poster read.

'Dhadak 2' is a romantic drama written and directed by Shazia Iqbal and produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions. The film is a spiritual sequel to 'Dhadak', which was the Hindi remake of the hit Marathi film Sairat. Released in 2018, 'Dhadak' introduced Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khatter to Bollywood and became a major success.Earlier, 'Dhadak' director Shashank Khaitan shared his excitement about the sequel and spoke exclusively to News18 Showsha about it. “I’m extremely happy. I’m sure that it’s going to be a very, very powerful story. I’m also excited about young actors coming up and telling social stories. I’m really looking forward to Dhadak 2. I think it was a very bold reveal in terms of how they announced the title and unveiled the actors.

"Further, Siddhant Chaturvedi also opened up about the film and told NDTV, “We have made a really strong and rooted film. Usually, I have been approached for urban roles, but I come from Ballia, a small town in UP, and this is my first time exploring such a genre".“I’m very excited, it’s a wonderful script with an amazing co-actress, Triptii. I wish I could share more, but for now, I’ll let the trailer do the talking. It will be out very soon this year. Fingers crossed."Dhadak 2 will be released in theatres on August 1, 2025.
