Pak actress Humaira Asghar found dead in Karachi flat

Pakistani actress and model Humaira Asghar, who won hearts with her roles in the reality show ‘Tamasha Ghar’ and the 2015 film ‘Jalaibee’, has sadly passed away. As per multiple reports, the actress was found dead in her apartment in Karachi’s Defence area on Tuesday, nearly three weeks after her demise.Neighbours raise alarm over strange smellHumaira had been living alone in her Karachi flat for the past seven years. According to Geo TV, neighbours had become concerned after noticing a strong odour coming from her apartment. They also realised they had not seen any movement or activity there for days.Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Syed Asad Raza shared with local media that police received a call from worried residents.

Officers reached the flat around 3 p.m. local time. After knocking multiple times and receiving no reply, they decided they had no choice but to break down the door. Inside, police found her body lying on the floor.DIG Raza told Images, “It appeared that the body was several days old.” He added that Humaira Asghar was thought to be between 30 and 35 years old and had been staying alone in the apartment for the past seven years.

No foul play suspected for nowRight after the discovery, forensic teams were sent to the flat to gather evidence. Her body was then moved to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for a post-mortem examination. Police believe that Humaira had already passed away at least 15 to 20 days before they found her. However, the exact cause of her demise will only be clear once the medical reports come back. Though the case is being handled with care and attention, police have not found any immediate signs of foul play.

As reported by Geo TV, authorities are currently treating this as a possible natural death.
