The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) is likely to begin the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test – Undergraduate (NEET UG 2025) counselling process shortly for admissions to MBBS and BDS programmes.
Candidates who have cleared the NEET UG 2025 will be able to register and apply through the official website: mcc.nic.in.The counselling process will cover MBBS, BDS, and other allied medical courses across India. For the 15% All India Quota (AIQ) seats, the process is domicile-free and fully online until the seat allotment stage. Once seats are allotted, candidates will need to report physically to their respective colleges to confirm admission.The National Testing Agency (NTA) declared the results for NEET UG on June 14, 2025. In a recent development, the Madhya Pradesh High Court directed NTA to conduct a re-examination for candidates who faced disruptions due to power outages at their exam centres. The court observed that these students were unfairly disadvantaged despite not being at fault.
How to apply for MCC NEET UG counselling 2025
To participate in the counselling process, eligible candidates must complete the online registration and application form within the specified timeline. The process is simple and can be completed by following the steps below:Step 1: Go to the official MCC portal: mcc.nic.in.
Step 2: Click on the ‘UG Medical’ section on the homepage.Step 3: On the next page, select the active registration link.Step 4: Enter your personal and academic details to complete registration.Step-5:Fill in the application form and make the required fee payment.Step 6: Printing a copy of the submitted application for reference is advisable.
NEET UG 2025 counselling schedule
The detailed counselling schedule is expected to be released soon. This year, MCC will conduct four rounds of counselling — Round 1, Round 2, Round 3, and a Stray Vacancy Round.In the NEET UG 2025 exam conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA), 22,09,318 candidates appeared. Of them, 12,36,531 qualified to take up medical studies for the 2025–26 academic session.
