In an official annoucement, the makers revealed that the highly anticipated final chapter of the

Mission: Impossible saga

will release on Saturday, May 17, 2025, almost a week before its global release. According to reports, the movie was originally scheduled for a global release on May 23.
The decision to prepone the release in India comes on the heels of massive fan excitement and high demand for the franchise’s explosive finale, which marks Cruise’s final outing as our favourite IMF agent Ethan Hunt.
The Final Reckoning promises to deliver the most emotionally charged and action-packed chapter yet, as it sees our favourite agent take on his most dangerous mission to date. The film will be released in multiple languages, including English, Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu, making it accessible to fans across the country.

'Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning Part One' made quote the splash when it hit Indian cinemas in 2023. The movie that opened to an impressive Rs 12 crore debut, went on to earn approximately Rs 103.85 crore in India, making it the first Cruise-starrer to cross the Rs 100 crore mark at the Indian box office.
The story picks up right where “Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One” left off in 2023. Tom Cruise returns as Ethan Hunt, joined by familiar faces Hayley Atwell, Ving Rhames, Simon Pegg, Henry Czerny, and Angela Bassett.
The star-studded cast includes franchise veterans Ving Rhames, Simon Pegg, and Henry Czerny, along with Hayley Atwell, Esai Morales, Pom Klementieff, Angela Bassett, Holt McCallany, Janet McTeer, Nick Offerman, Hannah Waddingham, and more.
Filming for Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning kicked off in March 2022, with production taking place across various locations including the UK, Malta, South Africa, and Norway. However, production faced a significant delay in July 2023 due to the SAG-AFTRA strike, extending the shooting schedule until November 2024.
