Telugu actor Nani is currently gearing up for the release of his much-awaited action thriller, '
HIT 3
'. While promoting the film, the star shared his thoughts on the rising trend of
pan-Indian cinema
. Interestingly, Nani made it clear that 'HIT 3' does not fall into that category.
In a recent conversation with Hesha Chimah, Nani reflected on the scale and anticipation surrounding true pan-Indian projects. He pointed to films like 'Baahubali', 'RRR', 'Pushpa', and 'KGF' as prime examples. “I do not look at this as a
pan-India
film. But pan-Indian films, I think, are what we have seen before — KGF, Baahubali,
RRR
,
Pushpa
— films which are eagerly anticipated across the country. They do stage it like that,” he explained.
Srinidhi & Nani Boost 'Hit 3' Promotion
He further clarified that while the term pan-India may have been popularised by the media, his current focus lies elsewhere. “But I don’t want to get into that space. Right now, I am trying to release my film here and make sure that whoever is watching it… there’s a lot of interest for HIT. So, whoever wants to watch the film will have a quality product with proper dubbing, available in a nearby theatre,” he added.
The actor also mentioned that special attention is being paid to the dubbing quality to ensure viewers across regions can easily connect with the narrative, without any language barrier interfering with the experience.
Directed by Sailesh Kolanu, HIT 3 continues the investigative crime thriller franchise, following 'HIT: The First Case' (2020) and 'HIT: The Second Case' (2022). Srinidhi Shetty plays his romantic interest in the movie. 'HIT 3' is scheduled to hit cinemas on May 1.
