'Only Murders in the Building' RENEWED for Season 5

The hit mystery-comedy series '

Only Murders in the Building

' has officially been

renewed

for a fifth season, leading stars Steve Martin, Selena Gomez and Martin Short confirmed in a video.
The renewal comes just over a week after the debut of Season 4, which premiered on August 27 and will run until October 29.

Season 5

will continue the show’s tradition with a 10-episode run, featuring the beloved main trio.

In the 4th season, the characters find themselves on a whirlwind adventure to Los Angeles, where a movie studio expresses interest in turning their

true-crime podcast

into a film. Amidst the Hollywood chaos, they will also be embroiled in solving the murder of Sazz Pataki.

The show has continued to attract an impressive cast, with Season 4 featuring guest stars such as Meryl Streep, Eugene Levy, Zach Galifianakis, Eva Longoria, Richard Kind, Melissa McCarthy, Kumail Nanjiani, and Molly Shannon.
