, she underwent IVF treatment.
Speaking to Vogue India, when Preity was asked how she manages to maintain her upbeat public image during tough times, she opened up about the emotional challenges she faced during her

IVF journey

.

She said, "I have good days and bad days just like everyone else. Sometimes it’s a struggle to always be happy-go-lucky in real life, especially when you’re going through a tough phase. I used to feel like that during my IVF cycles.”
“It was very difficult to be smiley and nice all the time. Sometimes I just wanted to bang my head on the wall and cry or not talk to anybody. So yes, it has to be a balancing act for all actors,” she added.

Preity also discussed her return to acting with the upcoming film Lahore 1947. She reflected on the challenges women face, particularly with balancing career and family. She explained that while it's important to focus on a career, women also have to recognize that life isn't always fair because of the biological clock. She mentioned that, although building a career is important for actresses, family matters just as much. Now that her kids are over two years old, she felt ready to return to work.

into her family. Preity and Gene have been married since 2016.

Preity Zinta’s last appearance was in the 2018 film Bhaiaji Superhit, which had a delayed release. Her last major role was in 2013’s Ishkq in Paris, a film she also produced. She is now set to star in Rajkumar Santoshi’s Lahore 1947, alongside Sunny Deol, with Aamir Khan producing the film.
