In conversation with SCREEN, Rahul took a nostalgic trip down memory lane, sharing rare insights into what the future superstar was like during his teenage years — long before the charm, fame, and global stardom.The actor reminisced about crossing paths with Shah Rukh Khan during their school days, often meeting during cricket practice sessions or while representing St. Columba’s in matches.

When asked about Shah Rukh Khan's school days, Rahul Dev shared that SRK excelled in nearly everything. He described him as a natural star — outstanding in academics, a key player in multiple school sports teams including football, cricket, and hockey, and equally impressive in gymnastics and sprinting. According to him, Shah Rukh was truly gifted even back then.

Rahul Dev added that their school nurtured remarkable talent beyond just Shah Rukh Khan. He highlighted that while SRK went on to become a leading star in the film industry, many of their schoolmates have also achieved high positions and success in various fields across different walks of life.Shah Rukh Khan wasn’t just a standout in sports and academics; he was also a key figure in the school’s dramatics team. He regularly took on the lead roles in plays and school functions, showcasing his natural flair for acting even then. Rahul noted that SRK seemed destined for success no matter the path—whether as an actor, scientist, athlete, or any other role—because he truly excelled at everything he pursued.On the professional front, Rahul Dev was most recently seen starring alongside Ajith Kumar in the Tamil film Good Bad Ugly. Meanwhile, Shah Rukh Khan is busy filming King, directed by Siddharth Anand, which will also mark the theatrical debut of his daughter, Suhana Khan. The much-anticipated movie is scheduled for release in 2026.
