Rani Mukerji: People still recognize me

2 months ago 257

Bollywood actress

Rani Mukerji

, who attended the 24th edition of

FICCI Frames

in Mumbai on March 5, spoke at length about the ever-changing

entertainment industry

and social media culture.
She said, “I have a bunch of amazing fans of mine who keep promoting me. Whether or not I promote myself, they are constantly doing it for me. So, (a) I am very lucky to have a fan following and dedicated fan groups who keep me alive through this generation and remind people who I am. I obviously don't do many advertisements.”
She further added, “So obviously, I am not there in the faces of people or on television all the time. Yes, my films kind of do that work for me also because I like to keep a very simple life for myself. I think the more we get engaged in different things, we have to give it our best. That's the way I am, and I would like to do things where I can give my 100%. Maybe for social media, I would not be able to give my 100%, so I don't want to take that extra burden or extra load of what I need to do. So, I feel the way it's going is great.”
The actress also spoke about pushing boundaries through her films. She said, “The fact that people went to see my

film

"Mrs. Chatterjee vs Norway" makes me happy that they still recognize me and still know me and still want to see my film, which is amazing. I would continue to keep wanting to push the bar, keep wanting to push my boundaries as an actor, and it's always great to keep waiting for that one role or that one character to come by which inspires me and will inspire the generations to come, and that is something I keep waiting for.”
On the work front, Rani Mukerji was last seen in the film ‘Mrs. Chatterjee vs. Norway’. She will be next seen in film ‘Mardaani 3’.
