Over three months into his custody, the investigation continues to draw significant public and media attention, with authorities reportedly close to filing a chargesheet. of a fan, Renuka Swamy. It has been more than three months since Darshan was taken into custody, and the case continues to attract significant attention, both in the media and among the public.
As for the investigation, authorities are working diligently to build a strong case against Darshan and the other accused.

According to reports from the New Indian Express, the police are close to submitting a comprehensive

chargesheet

. The investigation team has reportedly gathered over 200 pieces of crucial evidence, including forensic reports that allegedly confirm Renuka Swamy's bloodstains on the clothing of the accused. The postmortem report also supports the case, indicating that the victim died from shock and haemorrhage caused by multiple blunt force injuries.

Darshan and his alleged girlfriend, Pavithra Gowda, were arrested on June 11 in connection with Renuka Swamy’s murder. The incident allegedly stemmed from derogatory comments made by the victim against Gowda, which led to a tragic and violent confrontation.

During his time in Bengaluru's Parappana Agrahara Central Prison, Darshan's legal team made several requests for special privileges, citing concerns over his health. They petitioned for permission to provide him with home-cooked meals, bedding and personal items, arguing that the prison food was causing him health issues, including weight loss and diarrhoea.

However, recent images that surfaced online have sparked controversy, showing Darshan enjoying a cigarette and coffee in prison, seemingly unbothered by his circumstances. These photos quickly went viral, leading to widespread criticism and questions about the treatment he is receiving while in custody.
