Harshvardhan Rane and Mawra Hocane starrer beats Loveyapa, Badass Ravikumar to score HIGHEST Monday collections

Harshvardhan Rane and Mawra Hocane's romantic drama

Sanam Teri Kasam

has emerged as a major hit upon its re-release at the domestic box office. While other movies seemed to have faltered and witnessed a dip in collections, this romantic drama maintained an impressive hold on Monday.
Re-released on February 7, just in time for the Valentine’s week, the film hit theatres nationwide with minimal promotion. However, 'Sanam Teri Kasam' seemed to have pulled off a surprise on trade gurus, with its opening weekend collection of approximately Rs 15.50 crores net—marking the biggest weekend for a

Bollywood re-release

.
On Monday, the film topped the Bollywood box office with an estimated Rs 3-3.25 crores net collection, surpassing the combined Monday total of '

Sky Force

', 'Deva', '

Badass Ravikumar

', and 'Loveyapa'. With this, the total re-release collection of the film after just four days stands at over Rs 18.50 crores net—more than double its original lifetime collection.
The film, which was released 9 years ago, had a rather dull reception, earning just 9 crores net collection in its lifetime run.

The film is expected to continue performing well throughout Valentine’s Day week and may reach Rs 27-30 crores net in its first week. However, with Vicky Kaushal’s 'Chhaava' set to release on February 14 and added competition from the Hollywood superhero film '

Captain America: Brave New World

', it remains to be seen if 'Sanam Teri Kasam' can maintain its grip.
Meanwhile, Christopher Nolan’s sci-fi epic Interstellar, after collecting approximately Rs ₹11 crores gross in its opening weekend, demonstrated a strong hold on Monday, adding over Rs 2 crores gross. In its four days of re-release, the film has accumulated approximately Rs 13 crores gross (Rs 10.75+ crores net).
Interstellar is scheduled for a limited seven-day run and aims to reach Rs 20 crores gross before exiting cinemas, which would be a remarkable achievement for the Hollywood film.
