According to a report by Sacnilk, on its eighth day, 'Saripodhaa Sanivaaram' earned Rs 1.49 crore, a slight dip from its seventh-day collection of Rs 2.1 crore. Despite the dip, the movie has grossed a total of Rs 42.98 crore in India, a good figure for its first week. The film maintained a decent Telugu occupancy rate on Thursday, September 5, with an overall 21.59% theatre fill. Morning shows saw a 16.59% turnout, which rose to 24.23% in the afternoon and held steady through the evening and night shows.
The film tells the gripping story of Surya, a man with severe anger issues. His mother devises a unique solution, allowing him to unleash his rage every Saturday by targeting wrongdoers. This leads him to a clash with a corrupt police officer, played by SJ Suryah. The intense clash between Nani and Suryah’s characters has become one of the talking points of the film.

'Saripodhaa Sanivaaram' marks the second collaboration between Nani and director Vivek Athreya. The film is a pan-India release available in multiple languages. In other languages the movie also goes by the name, 'Surya's Saturdays'
However, competition arrived in the form of Thalapathy Vijay’s highly anticipated Tamil film 'The Greatest of All Time' (GOAT), which debuted this week and quickly made big numbers at the box office as expected.
