On its seventh day, the film added Rs 2.15 crore to its India net collection across all languages, bringing the total box office earnings to Rs 41.55 crore.
Despite being released on a Thursday, the film has seen solid attendance, with 18.34% occupancy in Telugu screenings on Wednesday, September 4, 2024. It performed consistently across all time slots, with the highest occupancy seen during the night shows at 20.86%. The
Tamil version
also performed decently, with 15.42% occupancy on the same day.
This film marks the second collaboration between Nani and director Vivek Athreya, and the partnership is proving to be a success. Released on August 29th, 'Saripodhaa Sanivaaram' has been well-received by audiences, translating into impressive box office numbers.
The film tells the story of Surya, a man driven by anger as every Saturday, he takes matters into his own hands, targeting wrongdoers with ruthless vengeance. This pattern, devised by his mother to help him manage his anger issues, eventually leads him into conflict with a corrupt police officer, played by SJ Suryah. The intense face-off between the two characters has been one of the film’s highlights.
'Saripodhaa Sanivaaram' also features Priyanka Mohan as the female lead, with strong supporting performances from Sai Kumar, Ajay Ghosh, Aditi Balan, and Harshavardhan.
The film is performing exceptionally well. However, it now faces stiff competition from Vijay's 'The Greatest Of All Time' (GOAT), which released today and is expected to make a big splash at the box office. This is allegedly the second last film of Thalapathy Vijay, who later will be turning as a full-time politician.
