Forensic tests and chemical analysis continue; exact cause still uncertain- Report

Actor Shefali Jariwala’s unexpected demise has left everyone stunned, with her exact cause of passing still uncertain. As her family, friends, and fans wait for answers, doctors and police continue their investigation, hoping upcoming test results will clear the air.Doctors hold back cause of demise, await more testsA team of five forensic doctors at Cooper Hospital carried out the postmortem on Shefali’s body. However, as reported by India Today, they did not state any clear reason behind her passing. Instead, they have sent tissue samples for post-mortem histology and kept her viscera aside for chemical analysis at Kalina Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL).Police involved in the probe said histopathology is carried out only when a normal postmortem does not clearly show why someone passed away and if the viscera have been saved for chemical tests.

Once both these checks are finished and the lab sends its report, doctors will finally be able to say what exactly caused Shefali Jariwala’s demise. Her last day: fasting, stale rice, and an uneasy feelingThe report also revealed that police digging into Shefali’s final hours discovered that she had been fasting the entire day, as there was a puja at her home. Only at around 8:30 pm did she eat some fried rice, which had been cooked the day before and stored in the fridge. This rice was reheated and then eaten.

Shortly after eating, Shefali began to feel uneasy and acidic. To settle her stomach, she took a 40 mg tablet of pantoprazole and a 30 mg tablet of domperidone. Earlier that day, she had also received a vial of anti-aging medication from a medical professional at her house. How events took a serious turnHer discomfort worsened after 10:15 pm. By 10:30 pm, she collapsed, and her body started trembling. The house staff quickly called her husband, Parag Tyagi, who had stepped out to walk their dog.

In his police statement, Parag said he rushed upstairs and still felt Shefali’s pulse. They immediately drove her to Bellevue Hospital in Andheri West.Sadly, doctors there declared Shefali had passed away before admission. Her family was told to take her to Cooper Hospital for further formalities. Police received a call about the incident at 11:30 pm and arrived at the hospital by 11:45 pm.Police find several medicines at homeDuring their checks at Shefali’s residence, police officers found two boxes of various medications. These included glutathione injections, vitamin C pills, and other drugs."We checked the house and found two boxes of medication, which consisted of glutathione injections, vitamin C pills, and some other medication at the house. We checked the dustbin and collected packets of food and injections. We checked the dustbin and collected food packets, wrappers, medication packets, and vials from it. We also learned that many of those medications were not prescribed or had been prescribed long ago.

She was taking medicines herself for anti-aging and skin glow," an officer told India Today.Police also collected CCTV footage from her home and took statements from family members and the person who gave her the vial that day."CCTV footage from the house has been analyzed, and statements of family members and the person who had administered the vial that day have been taken. As of now, no foul play has come to light or been alleged by anyone. "But, we are taking all possible measures as per procedure to ascertain the cause of demise," said an officer. For now, everyone involved is waiting for the histology and chemical analysis reports from the forensic lab.
