In an interview with ET at the London premiere, the host asked whether the ‘final reckoning’ is really the final film of the franchise. Cruise, in all his smiles, responded, “Well, they don’t call it final for nothing!”

For Tom Cruise, it's never a goodbye...

It’s been 7 years since Cruise started working on the project, and while it gives him a ‘tremendous amount of enjoyment’ to work and put effort, he said that it’s never a ‘goodbye’ for him. “I have a tremendous amount of enjoyment making these and exerting that effort and creating all of this together. For me, it's never goodbye. It's like 'we'll see you again," hinting at the other prospects.

The fans would be relieved to hear that even if the ‘mission’ is put to bed, Cruise stated that he always thinks about the other stories and franchises, ‘Top Gun.’ Tom even mentioned that he just finished shooting an untitled film with Iñárritu, and teased future collaborations with other filmmakers.
