Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s 'Spirit', starring Prabhas, has been making headlines following actress Deepika Padukone’s exit from the film. The filmmaker has now officially announced the new leading lady via his X (formerly Twitter) handle.

On May 24, Vanga shared the news with fans, writing, “The female lead for my film is now official :-).” Triptii Dimri also expressed her excitement on Instagram, captioning her post, “Still sinking in…. 😍 So grateful to be trusted with this journey 🙏🏻 Thank you @sandeepreddy.vanga ..honoured to be a part of your vision.”Fans of the actress were quick to celebrate the announcement. One wrote, “Welcome to RebelWood,” while another commented, “This is huge.” A third remarked, “Deepika out, Triptii in!!! Vanga trusts her too much.” One user exclaimed, “I’m screaming.” In the post shared by Triptii, her name appeared in multiple languages, including Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Chinese, Japanese, and more — hinting at the film’s pan-Indian release.

Deepika was initially in talks for the role opposite Prabhas. A source from Bollywood Hungama claimed that her working conditions led to a fallout. Reportedly, she had refused to shoot for more than six hours a day for the film.'Spirit' marks Triptii Dimri’s first time sharing screen space with Prabhas and her second collaboration with Sandeep Reddy Vanga after 'Animal'. The film is expected to commence shooting in 2025.
On the work front, Prabhas was last seen in 'Kalki 2898 AD', and he is currently gearing up for the release of 'The Raja Saab' directed by Maruthi.
