Zahan Kapoor picks Ranbir Kapoor's 'Rockstar' over Kareena Kapoor Khan's 'Jab We Met'; 'I'm completely a Rockstar fan'

Zahan Kapoor, the grandson of the legendary Shashi Kapoor, recently expressed his admiration for 'Rockstar' over 'Jab We Met'. Unlike his cousins, he took a different path to success, starting in theatre and now gaining recognition for his role in 'Black Warrant'.
A Rapid-Fire Choice
During a rapid-fire round with NDTV, Zahan was asked to choose between Ranbir Kapoor's 'Rockstar' and Kareena Kapoor's 'Jab We Met'. He chose 'Rockstar', stating, "I'm completely a Rockstar fan. I watched it first day first show. Then again, I watched it that evening." Zahan expressed no regret over not being launched with a big film, preferring that his acting and character portrayals speak for themselves.
A Different Path to Success

Zahan did not have a grand launch like his cousins Ranbir and Kareena. Ranbir debuted with Sanjay Leela Bhansali's 'Saawariya', while Kareena made her big debut with Abhishek Bachchan in 'Refugee'.
Breakthrough with Black Warrant
In 'Black Warrant', Zahan plays jailer Sunil Gupta. The show is based on the 2019 non-fiction book Black Warrant: Confessions of a Tihar Jailer by

and journalist Sunetra Choudhury. Zahan received applause for bringing authenticity to his portrayal of a real-life character. He began his career in theatre, earning appreciation for his roles in 'Siachen' and 'Pitaji Please'. Additionally, he has completed filming for a series that will premiere on OTT this year.
