The Varun Dhawan starrer struggles to cross Rs 50 crore

Varun Dhawan starrer 'Baby John' which released in cinemas on Christmas, did well on the first day because of the holiday but has continued to see a dip in the business after that. The movie has been struggling to get those numbers at the box office, even worldwide while 'Pushpa 2' is still dominating and how. At the domestic box office, the movie has made a total of around Rs 30.50 crore, according to Sacnilk.

On the first Monday, the film made Rs 1.8 crore.
Now, as far as the worldwide gross of the movie is concerned, the film made Rs 8.6 crore on day 6 and the total number now stands at Rs 43 crore. On Tuesday, which is the New Year's eve, one can see a growth in the business of the film as January 1, 2025 is also a holiday. But the trade has predicted that the movie may end up with a lifetime business of around Rs 60 crore.
According to reports, 'Baby John' has been mounted on a very high budget of Rs 160 crore. Hence, more was expected out of this, but if it ends up with a lifetime box office of around Rs 60 crore, it would not be considered a hit. While on Christmas day, there was an argument around the number of shows given to 'Baby John' and 'Pushpa 2', the distributor of the latter was fighting to keep the same number of shows for both and go by the 50-50 ratio.
But now due to less demand for 'Baby John', the shows of the Varun Dhawan starrer have been reduced in Mumbai, Delhi and there are more shows of 'Pushpa 2'.
