The unstoppable box office run of Kartik Aaryan's '
Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3
' has hit another milestone, closing its second week. The film which has been the top pick for fans this week, scored a lead over Ajay Devgn's '
Singham Again
'.
According to reports on Sacnilk.com, the film scored a collection surpassing Rs 50 crore on its second week. The film which earned an estimated Rs 4 crore on its second Thursday, earned an estimated Rs 57.85 crore in its second week, according to early estimates. This helped the film beat the week 2 collections of 'Singham Again', which earned just around Rs 47 crore.
In its first week, 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3' raked in a stellar Rs 158.25 crore, setting the stage for a strong showing in its second week. The film now boasts an impressive total collection of Rs 216 crore.
However, the film still has to earn an added Rs 4 crore to out-perform 'Singham Again' which has a current box office collection of Rs 220 crore.
However, as it heads into its third weekend, the horror-comedy faces potential challenges. Four major releases — 'The
Sabarmati Report
', 'Amaran', '
Kanguva
', and the much-anticipated '
Gladiator II
' — hit theatres today, November 15, offering a wider choice to cinema-goers. This marks the first time since its release that 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3' will contend with multiple new titles, having previously only faced competition from Ajay Devgn's action-packed 'Singham Again'.
While the film has so far enjoyed a successful solo run, industry experts speculate that this influx of new titles could slow down its momentum.
