Bhool Chuk Maaf becomes Rajkummar's 3rd biggest hit

Rajkummar Rao continues to cement his position as one of Bollywood’s most dependable performers, and his latest release Bhool Chuk Maaf is proof of that. The comedy-drama, which hit theatres on May 23, 2025, has now officially become the third highest-grossing film of Rajkummar’s career in terms of Hindi net collections.

After a solid run at the box office over its first ten days, Bhool Chuk Maaf has collected Rs 58.85 crore, overtaking the lifetime business of Srikanth, which earned Rs 48.07 crore in India. This achievement places the film behind only the horror-comedy blockbusters Stree 2 and Stree, which remain Rajkummar’s biggest commercial successes to date with Rs 597.99 crore and Rs 129.83 crore respectively.The film opened decently on its first Friday with Rs 7 crore and picked up momentum over the weekend, registering Rs 9.5 crore on Saturday and Rs 11.5 crore on Sunday.

Despite a typical weekday drop, it managed to maintain steady collections with Rs 4.5 crore on Monday and Rs 4.75 crore on Tuesday. The first week closed at an impressive Rs 44.1 crore, and the film saw another jump in its second weekend, earning Rs 3.25 crore on Friday, Rs 5.25 crore on Saturday, and Rs 6.25 crore on Sunday, as per early estimates.The film’s strong appeal and Rajkummar’s reliable performance seem to have struck a chord with audiences, especially in urban centres and multiplex circuits. Directed by Karan Sharma and co-starring Wamiqa Gabbi, Bhool Chuk Maaf tackles contemporary issues with humour and sensitivity, adding to Rajkummar’s growing list of socially relevant films.

Industry experts believe that Bhool Chuk Maaf will cross the Rs 60 crore mark within its second week, further solidifying its position as a hit. With Stree 2 already rewriting records last year and now Bhool Chuk Maaf adding to his hit streak, 2024-25 is undeniably turning out to be a landmark year for Rajkummar Rao.

Rajkummar has a couple of more films lined up for this year- his next would be his first out and out actioner film Maalik, directed by Pulkit. It will be followed by his first home production Toaster opposite Sanya Malhotra- the film has been produced by Patrlekhaa.
