Cassie reveals Diddy overdosed on painkillers in February 2012

The disgraced singer P. Diddy’s trial reveals the dreadful details about the extent of the music mogul’s drug use. Cassie ‘Cassandra’ Ventura testified that the 51-year-old was hospitalised due to an overdose of painkillers.

How did Diddy overdose on painkillers?

The rapper’s attorney, Anna Estevao, asked the key witness, Cassie, if she could recall the night Diddy overdosed during the cross-examination in February 2012. The 38-year-old responded by stating, “Was that around the time Whitney Houston died?” according to Variety. Ventura revealed that after engaging in the infamous ‘freak-offs,’ they went to a swingers club and then Combs threw a party at his Playboy Mansion in Los Angeles, but she went home. However, at night, the controversial singer told her that he had taken a ‘very strong’ opiate, and then she took him to the hospital, where she became familiar with the fact that he had overdosed on painkillers.

“You were both addicts, right?”

As the trial evolved, without any hesitation, Estevao asked, “You were both addicts, right?” For the unversed, Ventura had revealed her addiction earlier, and she even went to rehab in 2023. She had opened up about the dependency on opioids, in addition to the use of MDMA, ecstasy, ketamine, mushrooms, cocaine, marijuana, and other drugs.

Diddy did not like it when Cassie Ventura used to...

Ventura responded by stating that they both were dependent on the drugs individually, and when they were together. Combs did not like it when she consumed drugs without him, and he used to get angry. He even tried to stop the dealers of LA from providing Ventura with drugs, but that did not help. Ventura hid her drugs from him, but the singer used to know after she consumed them due to behavioural changes.

Earlier this week, Ventura admitted to engaging in the ‘freak offs’ because she loved Diddy and wanted to make him happy, adding that she did not like being part of or ever wished to participate in the parties.
