has sparked controversy due to his songs featuring themes of alcohol, drawing backlash from some quarters. Surprisingly, Kangana Ranaut has come forward to support the Punjabi singer, setting aside their previous public feud.
Kangana emphasised how rules are not being followed and it’s banned everywhere; is it, not people’s responsibility? She said, “Gano mei se aap har cheez nikal denge, filmo mein se aap har cheez nikal denge. Kitne saare jo alcohol-free states hai toh kya waha pe alcohol nahi bikta. Jab ki kitni cheeze illegal hai toh kya voh nahi hoti. Kitne accidents ke video aa rahe hai, waha pe kaun follow karta hai ye rule. Khene ka matlab ye hai ki is it not people’s responsibility.”
Diljit's Dil-Luminati India Tour has faced backlash across the country. The Telangana government banned his songs referencing alcohol and violence ahead of his Hyderabad concert. Later,

Before Diljit's Chandigarh concert, authorities imposed a ban on specific songs referencing alcohol. The advisory, issued by CCPCR chairperson Shipra Bansal, singled out tracks like Patiala Peg, 5 Tara, and Case.
During his Ahmedabad concert in Gujarat, Diljit Dosanjh addressed the ongoing controversies and declared that he would no longer perform songs about alcohol. The singer said, said, “Today, I won’t sing those songs either. It’s simple for me to adjust my lyrics. Main khud sharab nahi peete (I don’t drink alcohol). It’s easy for me. But Bollywood artists promote alcohol ads—Diljit Dosanjh doesn’t. Don’t provoke me. I quietly do my shows and leave. Why are you bothering me?”
