: Bloody Sweet stormed the box office on day 1 as it broke the record for the highest day 1 opening box office collection for an Indian film grossing Rs 148 crore across the globe. But since then the film has seen a fall and a slight rise in the next three days.

On day 3 it saw a small jump of 12% and collected Rs 39.8 crore, and on its first Sunday the film was expected to do much better than its last two days but remained particularly flat and minted just Rs 41.55 crore, taking the grand total of the film to Rs 181.4 crore nett, as per Sacnilk.
The film has turned out to be a major success for Tamil cinema as it was able to beat 4 day collection of last big Tamil superhit film

Jailer

which starred Rajinikant in the lead. Jailer had managed to collect Rs 150.60 crore nett in 4 days of its release. But Leo still stands way behind Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan which had collected Rs 286.06 crore nett in its 4 days of release across four languages with Hindi leading from the front.

On one hand, there are fans who loved Thalapathy Vijay’s performance in the film, they loved his action, his dance and his emotional depth, on the other hand some also found the film sluggish in the second half and pointed out that the film lacked proper conflict.
