As per a report by Sacnilk, the movie on its 10th day made over Rs 3.5 crore as per the early estimates, this brings the film's total collection to approximately Rs 94.65 crore. After completing the first week the movie minted over Rs 88.25 crore. Later, on the second Friday, it made over Rs 2.9 crore.
Occupancy trend
On its tenth day, 'L2: Empuraan' maintained a strong presence in theatres across different languages. In Malayalam-speaking regions, the film recorded an overall occupancy rate of 27.61%, with night shows peaking at 38.65%. This indicates a robust audience turnout, particularly during evening and night screenings. In Tamil-speaking areas, the film had an overall occupancy of 23.17%, with night shows reaching up to 34.75%. However, in Hindi-speaking regions, the occupancy was lower at 11.52%, with night shows managing a peak of 17.83%.

About the film
Directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran, 'L2: Empuraan' features Mohanlal, Tovino Thomas, Manju Warrier, Indrajith Sukumaran, Abhimanyu Singh, and Sachin Khedekar. The film is a sequel to the 2019 blockbuster 'Lucifer' and repires Mohanlal's iconic character Stephen Nedumpally.
The plot of the film is based in Kerala, where Jathin Ramdas, the now Chief Minister, aligns with a controversial political faction led by Balraj Patel alias Baba Bajrangi. Meanwhile, Stephen’s sister Priyadarshini fights against corruption and false accusations.
The film's technical brilliance is evident in its cinematography by Sujith Vaassudev and music by Deepak Dev. Released on March 27, 2025, it has already become a box-office sensation and is expected to cross Rs 200 crore globally soon.
