Matthew had shared a photo and a video in which he was seen enjoying his night in the water.

The actor was seen at the far end of the jacuzzi with his headphones on. Matthew appeared to be lost in his music in the photo. Matthew Perry shared the post with a caption that was a funny nod to Batman. 'Oh, so warm water swirling around makes you feel good? I’m Mattman,' he wrote.

Matthew shared the photo after he shared a video of the moon with yet another nod to the DC superhero. “Do you understand what I’m trying to tell you? – I’m Mattman,” he wrote. The actor also revealed he was preparing for Halloween.

As soon as the shocking news of his demise hit the internet, fans took to social media to share their tribute to the actor. While one wrote, 'Thank you for every single laugh and all the joy you gave to the world ❤️,' another one added, 'I can’t believe you are gone. You’re humor got me through some hard times in my life. You’re memory will never be forgotten.' A fan also wrote, 'He was a legend idk what to say I am about to cry.'

The news of Matthew's shocking passing was initially reported by TMZ, followed by the Los Angeles Times. According to the reports, he was discovered deceased at his Los Angeles residence on the evening of October 28. The New York Post has also noted that the Los Angeles Police Department confirmed the death of a man in his 50s at Matthew's address. However, they did not confirm the individual's identity.
In a statement, the police said, "We responded to the 1800 block of Blue Sail Rd for a death investigation on a male 4:10 p.m. this afternoon. He was in his 50s." No evidence of foul play was found, and no drugs were discovered at the scene. It has been reported that emergency responders were summoned to the residence due to a cardiac arrest incident.
